A few months before the opening of its building renovated by Rem Koolhaas agency’s, OMA, in fall 2017, in the Marais district of Paris, Lafayette Anticipations – Fondation d’entreprise Galeries Lafayette presents Editathon Art+Feminisms, its last prefiguration event.

The Editathon Art+Feminisms is an international Wikipedia marathon on arts and feminisms.

The third edition of Editathon Art+Feminisms organised by Lafayette Anticipations – Fondation d’entreprise Galeries Lafayette is placed under the aegis of disidentification and José Esteban Muñoz, alongside with artist Wu Tsang.

During two days of edition and meetings, the public is invited to reduce gender inequalities on Wikipedia platform (less than 12% of contributors are women) and to reflect on its issues and potential in the field of art.

In 2016, the Parisian edition, also held at the Archives nationales, set a world record attendance. More than 600 people have created and edited Wikipedia files or simply have attended the workshops questioning gender inequalities in contemporary art and new media.

We would be glad to welcome you on 4 and 5 March if you are in Paris and would like to participate to the workshops or simply attend the meetings.

Please find attached the press kits of Editathon Art +Feminisms and Lafayette Anticipations.

We are at your disposal for any question you may have.
