We regret the cancellation of art berlin. 

As planned the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair will take place in 2020 as part and partner of Berlin Art Week. We continue to believe in Berlin as an art market location. Since 2014, we have been organizing the POSITIONS Berlin format for our exhibitors in Berlin with growing success, even without a trade fair company in the background.

The Berlin art market has its own special features, as it is only existing since the 1990s. Therefore, Berlin cannot be compared to London, Paris or Miami Beach. Berlin is young, different and constantly changing. Artists, the art production and the art discourse – that’s what makes Berlin special and therefore visitors come to this city.

We have aligned our concept with this reality and have always been confirmed in it by galleries and visitors. Berlin is a vibrant place for art, where success is very well possible.

Admittedly, flexibility and spontaneity are in demand here; even without planning security, many things are possible. “Antagonism” is and has always been foreign to us. 

A synergetic format like Berlin Art Week must now be maintained and strengthened. Berlin is the city where careers begin and art can be discovered. It’s precisely this special quality that politics shouldn’t leave out, but should finally focus on with self-confidence. In this way a young marketplace like Berlin can remain attractive for established players.

We will continue with great passion and fun to pursue our goal of inspiring collectors for Berlin and for buying art and supporting gallery owners and artists!
